Yes, MyTracks Will Have An API!

Last time I wrote about how cool it would be if MyTracks were to have an API. I even expressed this request on the Google's MyTracks group. Since I was not the only one doing so, a software engineer from Google confirmed that they have put it as a featured request on their roadmap:

Yes, it'd be nice to have such an API, agreed. This has been filed as
a feature request for a future version of My Tracks.

I have to start thinking about what should be done, assuming that the first version of the API will probably be limited to a few basic operations.
