PubliCrats rule!

Well well well, it seems like Publicans are doing it again. In a recent Washpo article, Publican representatives are publicly admitting that, online, they suck. Michael Turk (web strategist for Bush' 2004 campaign) says: "We're losing the Web right now."

Indeed they are. Crats blogs are way cooler and more popular than the Publicans'. When combining the collected sums through Hilary Clinton's blog, Obama's and John Edwards', it adds up to a total of $14 million, for the first 3 months of 2007. We all know that Publicans are stuck-ups and insecure followers; but usually, they use their money to be cool. What went wrong here?

Please visit ABC PAC website, it is hilarious. While Edwards collected $3 million for the 2008 presidential campaign (through Act Blu), Publicans collected an impressive $400... For 15 candidates! About 20 bucks each. Who's down for a movie? With the extra-large popcorn basket. Can't afford the Sprite though... Grassroots Publicans are probably tired of dollar-feeding filthy rich look-at-me-I'm-such-a-repressed-gay top Publicans.

Stay focus. Peter Lynden from the New Politic Institute explains the Publicans exhaustment by the fact that Crats usually are more conversational but have always lacked consistency. The Web allows crowdsourcing, a great tool for traditionally messy Crats.

Publicans are not doomed though: Conservative blogs did a great job at attacking Kerry during 2004 on his Vietnam war exaggerated service record; InstaPundit and Redstate are pretty popular; and Fox is the bully of the media arena.
Funnier, Publicans have launched QubeTV, to counter the "liberal bias" of YouTube.

As the article points out, Publicans are afraid of the reckless online mob. They need control, order, power and superiority to rule, whereas Crats need freedom, loose ideas, idealism and drugs to rule. This is such a great yin-yang situation: American democracy rocks!
